Yamaha’s 2017 FZ-10: FREE Paper Craft Model!

If you’re like me, then this is probably the closest that you’re going to get to owning the 2017 Yamaha FZ-10…that is, if you have enough ink in your printer, and enough patience. That’s right, Yamaha are back with another incredible Paper Craft model. Unlike last year’s R1M model, this one is a realistic representation of the all-new FZ-10, and comes complete with an intricate level of detail. If your bike is still in hibernation for the winter months and you need something motorcycle related to keep you from pulling your hair out, then this could be a rewarding challenge.

Having said that, I was pretty excited with the idea of last year’s Paper Craft R1M, and I think I actually went on record saying that I was really going to assemble one. Naturally, I never did. But I wish I had done, because as far as paper models go, these are pretty cool.  And free – let’s not forget that. All you have to do is follow this link to the Yamaha Paper Craft page, and follow their not so simple instructions. I think you’ve got to print out a hundred billion sheets of paper just for the component parts, and then a further trillion which are the actual instructions.

You don’t even have to put it together yourself. Just rope in a bored kid and tell them to glue this bit to that be. That’s what I’d do, but then I don’t think I know a child that could be encouraged to build a paper model of anything. Unless it was on an app or something…Anyway, if anyone gets around to assembling one of these things, please send us your pictures…because they do look cool!

About Joe Appleton

I’ve done a bit of work here and there in the industry – I’ve even ridden a few bikes for actual money but what it comes down to is this: I ride bikes, build bikes and occasionally crash ‘em too. I like what I like but that certainly doesn’t make my opinion any more valid than yours…
