Ram 1500 Rebel Gets a Black Edition For 2017
It’s a safe bet that when there’s been a ‘Black’ tacked on to a vehicle’s name, that everything is set to be blacked out. In the case of the Ram 1500 Rebel Black, that only applies to the interior. On the outside, it isn’t being limited to only one color, the whole palette is available.
New Design Features
When it was shown off at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, the Ram Rebel Black came as a surprise. Since everything wasn’t sprayed a uniform shade, it may have caught some people who were expecting that off guard. The black has been turned inward and can be seen prominently in the new Katzkin upholstery.
On the exterior, new 33 inch tires wrapped around wheels that are done in an eye catching shade of black. The brush guard carries the theme because it carries a matching black to go with the wheels.
Body, Drive, and Engine Options
For those looking to get on board the new Ram 1500 Rebel Black, there’s only one cab option. This means that, for the time being, all models you’ll see are going to be crew cabs. With the off road capability of the Rebel, we hoped that more options would be available here.
Under the hood, there’s only two choices for interested buyers to pick between. On one side is the 3.6L Pentastar V6 while the other option is the 5.7L V8 Hemi. The smaller of the two options comes only in a 4×4 configuration while the Hemi can be either 2×4 or 4×4.
Price and Availability
The Ram 1500 Rebel Black is set to start rolling into dealerships in March of this year with pricing already in place. The lowest price we’ve seen at the moment is $45,590 and then it only goes up from there. While this may not catch the eye of every pickup or even Ram fan, the Black will definitely find its niche.
