Racing Car Fittipaldi EF7 As A One Man’s Dream Coming True
Fittipaldi EF7 is a car born of pure love of speed – with a 600+hp V8, insane styling and a GT racing pedigree
Emerson Fittipaldi is a man who lives his dreams. He won Formula 1 championship twice and then won Indy 500 twice. He is a champion. And a winner. And now, to tribute all of his achievements on the tracks, he crafted and released his first car – a GT racer called the Fittipaldi EF7.
Created from scratch, this racing machine has been designed by Pininfarina, imagined by Fittipaldi and then finished off in Germany by HWA AG. This company builds and prepares touring cars. So, they know their business. Plus, they designed a special 4.8-liter V8 engine with 600hp for the car. And Fittipaldi knew exactly what he wants. He wanted a lightweight engine with low-end torque and even a special oil heat up system in order to provide top performance for its drivers right from the start.
“I have tried for years to explain to others what it truly feels like to be behind the steering wheel of a championship race car,” Fittipaldi said. “There is adrenaline and elation all rolled into an awe-inspiring inner fulfillment that leaves you craving for more. This is what our dream team created in the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo by Pininfarina.”
Fittipaldi EF7 Crafted For Each Individual
While we, mortals, will drive the car only via the upcoming Gran Turismo Sport game, German HWA AF plans to build 39 units for private owners. Not only will they be able to race at various GT racing venues, but Emerson Fittipaldi created a whole system of activities for its customers. Basically, those who buy a car will have access to some of the world’s best tracks. Then, Emerson devised a whole training system for each of his customers. The champion himself will coach them how to drive and how to use everything the car can provide. Plus, down the road, he plans to organize a race series called the Fittipaldi Racing Club only with these cars. Imagine that.
The car itself can be tailored to each customer. The whole cockpit will be finely tailored to each individual with special seats, special pedal and steering wheel placement. This way Fittipaldi wants to make sure every customer has the same view angle from the car as well as the same weight balance.
Obviously, this car won’t be cheap. It is specially crafted for racing with all the necessary equipment and special engine. After all, Pininfarina has been designing it for the past three years. Some serious money will be involved with this. Nevertheless, all the motorsport fans will have to wait for a year or so to see this thing race. Expect it at 12 Hours of Sebring or 24 Hours of Daytona events too. Fittipaldi himself wants to race the supercar there.
