Mustang GT350 VooDoo Pulls 10’s with a Nitrous Boost
This Mustang Shelby is able to drop below the 11 second range in the quarter mile with some modifications that included adding a little nitrous to the mix. The infamous rival between the Chevy Camaro and the Ford Mustang has been an ongoing thing for decades that started in the 1960’s. This modified Mustang made a great attempt to put Ford on top again; but was shy by about three tenths of a second.
It didn’t break the recent Camaro nitrous-charged record of 10.6; but it did accomplish a very impressive 10.98 run exceeding 125 miles per hour. The VooDoo has been pumped up to over 600 horsepower with some minor modifications. Lethal Performance Tuning was responsible for the build that added approximately a hundred horsepower to the rear wheels. They made some minor tuning adjustments to the intake, exhaust, and tuned the engine a little. In addition; they added nitrous to the mix and incorporated new drag rated tires.
This doesn’t mean that Ford has lost the battle with Chevy by no means with the victories going back and forth constantly. It has been that way for the over the last fifty years and will probably be that way for the next fifty years.
