How NOT To Ride In A Group

We’ve all seen it a hundred times before: a group of riders ripping down the road with a complete disregard for road safety and more often than not, it goes terribly wrong – that is if viral videos are to be believed. As soon as you click on a thumbnail that features a group of motorcycles clustered together on a road, you know what you’re about to witness: a catastrophe.

The usual hallmarks of an impending crash include a lack of safety gear, a dose of showing off, a badly executed move and an average age of…actually, let’s not factor age in as a contributing element, it happens to the young and alike.

The moral of the story is this: if you insist on riding as a group, keep a staggered formation, only ride as fast as you can safely brake, wear the proper gear (for god’s sake) and pay attention to what’s going on around you.

One more for the list: if you’re following a pack of jokers like this, use your common sense and give them a wide berth – if it looks like an accident waiting to happen, it almost certainly will happen. If you’ve got time to do something about it, make sure that you do do something about it! Ride safe guys, it’s a funny world out there.
