Chevelle SS: Which Rendering Should Be Produced?

It’s just for fun as we will never really see either Chevelle SS rendering

A popular pastime among graphic artists is creating renderings. Some should just stop, while others should be snatched up by car makers.

In an unofficial battle, two Chevelle SS renderings are going head-to-head for the title. What title? Well, there isn’t really one to fight for. But go with it.

In the red corner, the Chevelle SS that we’ve seen before with the retro-eighties looking front end. The awesome, sweeping body lines are attractive and classy, aside from the dumpy ass end. Expectantly, we want this one equipped with a massive 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 426 horsepower. We also want a reminiscent classic interior styling with the modern touches like myLink infotainment with navigation. But nothing that will drown out the wild growl from the exhaust.

In the… orange corner, we have the Chevelle SS. Most notably related to the Chevy Sonic, the front end appears to have a more ‘economic’ appearance than the first contender. A two-door sports coupe completely (and refreshingly) unlike the Camaro for once, it doesn’t seem to strike fear in the hearts of the Mustang or the Challenger. Maybe it’s a sleeper. It’s supposedly going to have a 2.0-liter turbo inline-4 with 295 horsepower, but would cost half what the beast above would.

Weigh in with your opinions. Do you likeĀ one, both, or neither?

The Car scene is so diverse
Where I come from, most enthusiasts recognize the amazing engineering (particularly the engines). The bulk of the ridicule originates from the manner in which many of the vehicles are modded/maintained. Thus, the jokes and or hate tends to be aimed more at the owner rather than the machine. All of which makes seeing properly sorted old Toyota’s and Hondas at car meets, auto shows, and track days all the more refreshing.
