Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept Just Might Be The Best Car From Geneva Motor Show 2015

We have a new Bentley Concept and this time they’ve done an amazing job designing and building the thing. As it turns out, this concept car isn’t just a foam filled model, but a machine that works flawlessly and that makes any other modern Bentley, or any other car as a matter of a fact, old and unfashionable. It is hard to argue that the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept is one of the most beautiful, most astonishing and most thrilling car shown on the floor of the Geneva Motor Show.

The looks itself are enough to retain the dose of mystery, lunacy and utter exclusivity only obtainable by luxury British car. It is hard to think who would make such odd shapes look so good on a car that is smaller than the Bentley Continental GT, but it is, nevertheless, prettier. Starting from the front end dominated by two large front headlamps and large, but somehow unobtrusive grille, the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept obviously brings some of that bizarre and outlandish looks and feel usually associated with the upper class of the society. And this Bentley surely is for the upper class of the society.

Actually, this car might be the first propper sports Bentley ever created. Yes, we know that the Bentley rooted its name deep into the racing heritage it acquired over the years, but a small sports car really never was the business they were going for. Almost every single of their old cars were enormous monsters powered by enormous engines and when they announced that they will give it a go with smaller V8 units instead using larger V12 their fans went mad. However, everything played out very well and the car you see here is the first proper fruit since the downsizing period has begun. And you know what. We like it a lot.

That, however, doesn’t mean that this car is powered by that Audi sourced four liter V8. The name of the thing, as well as the number on the grill (which can only be viewed from a certain angle) suggests that something with six cylinders might push the EXP over the conventional Bentley barriers we saw before. Of course, nothing is official as of yet, but we are positive that Bentley prepared something special for this thing and that they are only waiting for the right moment to release it into the wilderness. Honestly, we think that this car can go into production in a month. It looks so complete, finished and right it is hard not to imagine it on the road posing like Victoria Angels models.

Unfortunately, we do not know a lot about the car even though it is revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. However, large intakes and other air channeling pieces have been added to it, so it is not hard to guess that this is a small sports car which can be seen in a class with some Porsches, Jags or even Audi R8. The pictures are the only medium from which we can make some conclusions and while the exterior of the car looks astonishing, the real craftsmanship has been shown inside the thing. Look at it. It is possibly the best interior ever created for a car. It is sporty, yet classy and elegant and that is hard to come by these days. It is actually so good we think that it’ll make a place for itself in the car world like the interior from the Jaguar XK from the Nineties made for itself. It is that plush, posh and unconventional.

Though we do not have a lot to go with on this, the Bentley CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer had some thoughts on it “EXP 10 Speed 6 is one vision for Bentley’s future – a powerful, exquisite and individual concept. The show car has the potential to be the new pinnacle luxury two-seat sports car. It offers thrilling, driver-oriented performance, complete with trademark modern Bentley luxury and effortlessness. ”

Now, we only can wonder when will they produce it and we are guessing they will because anybody who saw it will want it, no matter what.

About Safet Satara

I do not have spare time. All there is is car time. 12 years and counting. I am a Central European gearhead, but you are probably thinking - aaa a disposable Borg drone! Well, actually, I like to dress up like James Bond too. The only thing I need to be him is an Aston Martin (and I love DBS more than DB5 because, reasons). That's something I guess.
