A Collection Of 26 Classic Porsches Will Go To Auction With No Reserve
When it comes to celebrating anniversaries in style, Auctions America takes the crown. For their 15th they saw it fit to tug at the hearts of car enthusiast by auctioning off classic Porsche cars. Come springtime, 26 cars boasting of a total of 48 years of rich history will be put on display in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. To sweeten the deal, all these cars will be accessible with no reserve.
These high-status Porsche roadsters will be made available by JLB Autocrib. The rich compilation of cars supplied was in the possession of Jack and Alice Gish for over 40 years. In essence, it charts the brand’s advancement with some of the most prominent models ever made.
Nicholas Cage’s 356 1600 Speedster will be headlining the collection, seeing as it’s expected to be snagged for around $275,000 to $325,000. The 1958 Porsche RSR Tribute is another celebrity car that will be part of the auction. It debuted in the movie Death Becomes Her which starred Bruce Willis strutting around in the speedster. Banking on the popularity it attained from the movie, it’s expected to go for anywhere between $30,000 and $40,000.
Other high rollers in the collection include; ’88 911 Turbo Slantnose that may be auctioned at a whopping $ 180,000 a refashioned 1960 356B 1600 Coupe, a 2003 911 Turbo Coupe, a 1965 356C 1600 SC Cabriolet, and a 1968 912 ‘Soft Window’ Targa.
To spice things up, a couple of Porsche memorabilia are also expected to grace the stage. In preparation for the showdown, Auctions America has armed themselves with a couple of dealership signs, racing helmets, suits as well as autographed prints. The auction will start from March 31 to April 2, 2017.
