What the 2015 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Brings to the Table

This popular motorcycle model has been completely reworked both stylistically and mechanically to deliver a bike capable of inspiring awe and envy wherever you take it.
The biggest improvement is perhaps the addition of Ducati’s Testastretta DVT (desdodromic variable timing) engine. This engine has variable valve timing – the first engine ever to have this both on the intake and exhaust camshafts. This technology is heavily inspired by Volkswagen, and reports show that its addition to the Multistrada 1200 has greatly improved performance. The Testastretta DVT engine enables great power at high rpms and a smooth ride at low rpms, all while meeting the latest emissions and noise regulations.
The 2015 Ducati Multistrada 1200 has also been outfitted with superior braking technology in the Bosch MSC “cornering” ABS package. The package reduces wheelies, and there is greater adjustability to allow Multistrada 1200 riders to choose just how high they want the front wheel to loft. The suspension system has also been tweaked, and Ducati added an electronic cruise control system to make long rides even more comfortable.
On a stylistic level, most of the changes to the 2015 Multistrada 1200 have been subtle – with the exception of the shortened air intake “beak.” The headlight is now a full LED unit, and the luggage rack is more streamlined with the rest of the frame and subframe. Ducati riders can also choose one of four personalization packages – Touring, Sport, Urban, or Enduro – to best fit their individual tastes.
