The Morgan Aero Supersport

They sure don’t make them like they use too, wait yeah they do

Did you ever have the creepy science teacher that wore the same style clothes day in and day out? It was usually Salvation Army brown pants and sport coat with thick rimmed coke bottle glasses. The man was completely unfashionable until styles changed, and then before you knew it the man looked like a GQ model instead of a pedophile. Well that analogy somehow resembles Morgan, the company stayed true to its designs for so long that they look absolutely incredible again.

Morgan vehicles are now more sought after than ever before and with the company bringing back the old 3 wheeler we are seeing some rich boy toys hitting the streets again. I always wondered why companies that produced iconic vehicles didn’t reintroduce them to the public with newer engines. We then saw vehicles such as the Ford GT that resembles the iconic GT40 as well as the Mustangs and Camaros that would try and bring a modern interpretation to these icons. But what about cars like the 1930’s Cadillac 16 or Duesenberg that had gobs of style oozing out. Well there are still a few Morgans that give this classic look yet have a modern BMW V8 as the powerplant thus giving you all the power needed to save the damsel tied to the railroad tracks plus there is a Targa top so you can stand up when firing your “Tommy Gun” at the baddies.  Plus you can actually wear a fedora without looking silly in these cars.

The Morgan Aero Supersport is a knockout in beauty. It has gorgeous lines with large diameter wheels that perfectly fill the wheel wells. The BMW V8 engine produces 367 bhp and 370 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 is only 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph which is certainly fast enough in this riveted crooner. If you can’t operate the 6-speed manual then you can vouch for the 6-speed auto gear box that gets an impressive 36 mpg. So this car is a knock out stunner that is reliable and fuel efficient, sign me up right! So what about the Morgan Aero SuperSport Price, $185,000 equals way too much money for this bad boy, but who knows the GBP could get sacked causing the US dollar to rise up and then you can get one for $18,500. Yeah, that’s the only way I could afford one :(

This does rate as a 4 out of 5 vital organs getting sold on the black market for this car.
