The Ferrari F70
Ferrari wants to show the world who is supercar king….again
Ferrari has built a pretty incredible halo vehicle throughout the years. These vehicles have been ahead of their time and offered Street legal racecars. Since the iconic for Ferrari F40 we have seen supercars being delivered that were either the fastest thing on the road or close to it. The Ferrari F40 and F50 were both vehicles that nearly every boy had a poster of in his room. Just when we thought that Ferrari couldn’t possibly out due these vehicles we witnessed the birth of the Enzo Ferrari which many referred to as the F60. The Enzo looked absolutely brilliant and took the world by storm. It would be the top vehicle in which everything would be compared to. For example, if a car was to go around a track then the time would be set against an Enzo as to show you just how freaking slow your car was compared to a little ol’ Ferrari production car.
Ferrari F70 Price
The designers at Ferrari like to take the vehicle and give it Formula One type styling cues that also benefit the drag coefficient and downforce. Since the introduction of the Enzo, Ferrari has introduced the most expensive rental car program ever with the Ferrari FXX. The FXX program let you purchase a car that you couldn’t keep as it had to come to a track with a slew of Ferrari mechanics you would simply drive the vehicle and then give it back. By doing this though, it would keep other supercar manufacturers from being able to lay their hands on these vehicles which would then allow them to reverse engineer the cars. This program also let Ferrari gather data on the vehicles in order to use and towards the next generation supercar. As for the price of the F70, expect seven figures.
Ferrari F70 Specs
Today Ferrari has speed competition to go against as there now is companies such as Pagani, Hennessey, Bugatti, SSC, Spano, Koenigsegg, and more all looking to build the fastest street legal car. Of course if it isn’t the fastest it doesn’t matter as the Ferrari name alone will bring in sales. I mean look at some of those ugly cars they are currently producing, they are still selling. As for the future of the Ferrari F70 you should see a carbon fiber mono cockpit as well as all body panels being made from the stuff. There’s no word of what engine Ferrari will be using but I’m guessing a set up like the Ferrari F40 that uses a twin Turbo V-8 and will produce some impressive numbers. We’re not sure if Ferrari will actually take a stab at breaking the Bugatti Veyron SS’s top speed or if they will be like everyone else and just keep approximating one more mph than the next guy. Look for many F1 and Enzo styling cues as well as plenty of air vents.
