The Audi CUV Concept. Evoques Beware!
At the Paris Auto Show of 2010, Audi profiled a concept vehicle that was rumored
to be another great Quattro driven car to grace the roads of the world. Alas those dreams of an All Wheel Drive beast have been potentially dashed away for something a lot different, especially coming from the Audi camp.
Audi has proposed the idea of not building that great looking Quattro Concept most of us saw two years ago, but instead of looking into the market where coupes, and cross-overs seem to be dominating sales world wide. Audi is looking to potentially make a car that will have the prowess of a patented AWD Audi system, the power to leave all others behind, and the looks of something that Victoria Beckham herself would love to drive. As it stands now, Audi hasn’t announced anything solid about these plans as of yet, but speculations
have been running rampant, and they have been covering everything from looks to power plants.
This new Audi CUV of sorts may come with the well known five(5) cylinder turbo-charged engine, and that power would be mated to an S-tronic dual clutch system that will of course be fully infused with Audi’s Quattro system. The Looks of the Audi CUV are that of a much shorter Crosslane Concept, and much more aggressive looking. Some people were speculating on how the Audi CUV would have a two door body style, that is slightly that of the Range Rover Evoque, but I beg to differ. From
what the pictures show, the low slung Audi CUV will possibly receive a new functional hood scoop, sloped roof line, and a slightly widened stance to say the least. We can only hope that this new concept will make it to the assembly lines some time in the not so distant future.
