The 2014 Subaru BR-Z Convertible

Who doesn’t want a Subaru BR-Z Convertible?

Who doesn’t want a car that is trying so desperately to put you in a good mood? It is like a cute puppy whenever you are pissed off. As soon as you get near it and see it awaiting you affection, there is now man or woman that can continue to frown. Since the start of Toyota and Subaru’s joint effort to bring RWD fun to the masses, we are seeing that individuals are desperately awaiting the arrival of these horizontal honeys. The joint engine being placed in the BR-Z and FR-S convertible will be the 200hp direct injected H-4 connected to your choice of 6-speed manual or automatic.

2014 Subaru BR-Z Convertible Specs

The convertible top crossbreed looks to arrive as a 2014 model in the spring of 2013 as it will start to warm up. Both Subaru and Scion dealers will be slinging these and looks as if these will be hot item. As for the special editions, we will likely see a Subaru STI and TRD edition of each of the coupes and convertibles that will up the horsepower to a minimum of 265hp but look to more likely be around 300hp. We know the transmissions can handle that amount of power after seeing them placed in the Lexus IS. So we know that this automotive mutt made from many different cars is actually a mad genetic science project with Dr. Moreau except with less blood and a happy little dwarf.

2014 Subaru BR-Z Convertible Price

The price for these cars will likely sit around the $28,000 mark starting out and quickly rise up in price. With an STI convertible version we should see a price of around $30,000. So start saving right now but go ahead and try to reserve one now as these cars will be getting fought over for awhile. If you don’t want to pay sticker price for the hot car then just go to Scion and get an FR-S convertible because you can’t budge on their prices anyways because that’s not cool bro.
