The 2013 Chrysler 100
A stubby Italian becomes the Chrysler 100
Today Chrysler currently has three models to choose from. You either get a 2013 Chrysler 200, 300, or Town & Country. So as you can imagine there’s not a whole lot of individuals flocking to the Chrysler dealerships as I’m sure the sales staff is down to one employee. Since the introduction of Fiat is now taking part in heavily influencing Chrysler and Dodge design. Since Fiat has small cars down and everyone and their mother is looking for efficiency these days makes it a prime time to introduce the 2013 Chrysler 100. This baby Chrysler will be based off of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta similar to that of the upcoming 2013 Dodge Dart. The difference for the Chrysler model will be that it will be in hatchback form which doesn’t sound too bad as the Alfa Romeo Giulietta looks pretty good. The problem is that we won’t get the sleek and seductive Alfa Romeo grille design. Instead we will get something that looks like it was imported from Detroit’s spare bin collection. There is the possibility that they can make as vehicle look attractive if they simply just hand the exterior design over to the Italians. As we have seen the Dodge Dart 2013 looking better than any Neon I have ever seen.
Is the Alfa Romeo Giulietta imported from Detroit?
For the 2013 Chrysler 100 we will see similar engines of the 2013 Dodge Dart being available. We will see the 2.0 L normally aspirated Tiger shark that will offer 160 hp. Also will be the 1.4 L Turbo Multi-air engine that will deliver 160 hp and an impressive 184 lb-ft of torque. If you need a little more power then there’ll be the 2.4 L Tiger shark that will offer 184 hp. Hopefully we will see the 2013 Chrysler 100 SRT-4 that we have a 2.4 L Turbo Multi-air as it will make for one heck of a hot hatchback. We shall also see similar components in the dash such as dual monitors one being between the RPM gauge and fuel gauge and the other being a touchscreen located in the dash. If Chrysler plays it smart they will also hand over interior design to the Italians thus making for less cheesy interior designs all around.
Now if they can take over the Chrysler 200 next
What will be interesting is to get to drive the 2013 Chrysler 100 with the dual clutch 6-speed transmission that seems to be getting pretty good reviews as it’s currently offered in the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. Expect the Chrysler 100 2013 model to be introduced this fall. As we find out more information about the Chrysler 100 we will be sure to post the information on this website in order for you to stay updated.
