The 2012 Peugeot 301. Simple Is, As Simple Does.
Peugeot has once again brought forth another car, that in their eyes will do nothing more than conquer the market with simplicity, and rational thinking. The 2012 Peugeot 301, by any
means is a very simple car. It was built under the premise that, in order to attain high levels of notoriety, you must do one thing, keep it simple.
The 2012 Peugeot 301 is just that, simple. Four wheels, a motor, a comfortable interior, good gas mileage, and low maintenance. This is what needs to be done in order for cars to really sell in a market where all others before you have triumphed. Examples of simplistic automotive design are, the Nissan Versa aka the Tiida,as it is known in other parts of the world, and the Renault Logan. These cars were built with one main thing in mind, make it easy to understand, and everybody will love it.
The 2012 Peugeot 301 will be hitting showrooms in Turkey by November, and potential buyers will have about three engine options to choose from. There will a 1.2L three(3) cylinder, 72hp runabout available, and then there’s the 1.6L inline four(4) cylinder that makes a decent 115hp. Lastly there will another 1.6L, 92hp diesel option for those who love the chatter of a diesel engine. All of these cars, with the exception of the diesel option can be had in either manual, or automatic transmissions. The diesel comes as a manual only.
Also as another small tidbit of good news the 301 will have some minimalist features such as a heated windshield for those wintery climates were freezing windows is something that you can not avoid. Other than that, Peugeot has kept the lid shut on what else the 301 will have to offer. Don’t expect to see this car stateside, any time soon. The 2012 Peugeot 301 will be
released in Turkey first, and then traveling the world to finally be released in China by late 2013, early 2014. Who knows, with this type of thinking, Peugeot just might hit a home run, and make some big numbers off of something so simple, and easy.
