Rich People Rejoice, There Is A Hypercar Trio At An Auction Together

Three cars for more than $7.5 milion. Is it worth it for the 918 Spyder, LaFerrari and P1 GTR

If you are rich and want a hypercar trio in your garage, then buy a ticket to Italy and head to RM Sotheby’s Villa Erba auction. Scheduled for May 27, the auction will feature a number of interesting cars, with the hypercar trio – the LaFerrari, P1 GTR road going version and Porsche 918 Spyder leading the way.

Apparently, this is the first time we have a hypercar trio at an auction together. They will sell for high dollar for sure. Especially the McLaren P1 GTR which received a Lazante Motorsport conversion so that it can drive on the road. Although no ordinary human knows the exact number of units produced, some suggest that there are no more than 10 road legal P1 GTR’s in existence.

This 986hp beast with just 224 miles on the clock is expected to fetch $3.4 million to $3.62 million at an auction.

One-off Porsche 918 Spyder at octon

No other Porsche 918 Spyder like this exists. This is the only version with the Arrow Blue exterior specially made at a customer request. Interestingly, the owner actually used this car since he bought it about two years ago. The car covered 6,835 miles, but the owner did get new brake pads, fresh tires, and paint protection film for the hypercar before the auction. With an all wheel drive, 874hp and 944 lb-ft of torque, this Porsche 918 Spyder can surge to 62 mph in 2.6 seconds. This one even has a Weissach package cutting its weight by 90 lbs compared to the standard version. The auction will probably get this 918 Spyder to $1.27 – $1.49 million.

Ferrari LaFerrari – almost new at auction

Delivered in April 2014, this Ferrari LaFerrari is in immaculate condition. It covered only 112 miles meaning it’s factory-fresh.However, it already had two owners and the auction will connect it with its third. Painted in Rosso Corsa with black details on the roof and the sides, this LaFerrari probably fell in the first batch of hypercars produced. Plus, it’s like new. RM Sotheby’s auctioneers suggested it may fetch a price of $2.81 million to $3.4 million in May.

Better hurry up and buy all three at the same time. It’s probably once in a lifetime opportunity.

About Safet Satara

I do not have spare time. All there is is car time. 12 years and counting. I am a Central European gearhead, but you are probably thinking - aaa a disposable Borg drone! Well, actually, I like to dress up like James Bond too. The only thing I need to be him is an Aston Martin (and I love DBS more than DB5 because, reasons). That's something I guess.
