Owner of Hellcat Lemon Receives New 2016 Model From Dodge

The owner of a 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT is receiving a brand new 2016 model due to serious issues with the one he had originally purchased. This Sublime Green Challenger looks much better than its performance history. The owner of this vehicle had it in and out of the shop at the dealership on several occasions due to performance issues. The end result was a complete engine failure with less than 4,000 miles on the odometer.

The owner’s dealership escalated this issue to the Dodge Corporation for them to establish a resolution for this unusual situation. The decision was made to send this gentleman a brand new 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat as a replacement for the lemon that he had unfortunately purchased.

The limited edition Sublime Green has been discontinued so the replacement will be granite instead. The owner and his 10 year old daughter, who is a car enthusiast, both said that was a cool color as well.

Overall; the owner is very satisfied with the outcome and feels that the dealership and Dodge were very responsive to this situation.

This is a prime example of the fact that you could possibly get a lemon no matter what automobile you purchase. It is also a prime example of how Dodge will stand up to the plate and back their products such as they did in this isolated incident.

This is a illustration of the new Hellcat on its way to its new Home!

About Calvin Escobar

The Car scene is so diverse Where I come from, most enthusiasts recognize the amazing engineering (particularly the engines). The bulk of the ridicule originates from the manner in which many of the vehicles are modded/maintained. Thus, the jokes and or hate tends to be aimed more at the owner rather than the machine. All of which makes seeing properly sorted old Toyota's and Hondas at car meets, auto shows, and track days all the more refreshing.
