New Top Gear Host Chris Evans ‘Has a Massive Ego’ Claims BBC Staff
Jeremy Clarkson wasn’t the easiest man to work with when he was on the program ‘Top Gear’(especially when it came to his food demands) but Chris Evans seemed to have surpassed him, according to reports.
The staff working on the popular motoring show said that the new Host had a colossal ego, acting like a primadonna and irritating the cast members. This was said months before the program was to be officially released on the May of 2016.
According to an insider, BBC hasn’t learned its lesson after the Jeremy Clarkson debacle and that they have created another monster in Chris Evans by feeding his ego.
He’s rubbing a lot of people the wrong way, and even his close friends are concerned
His friends at Radio 2 stated that he is overworked and stretched. As a result his personality is starting to change.
Sources also tell us that there might be a reason why Chris Evans is so overworked. Chris shocked his BBC TV Boss Danny Cohen when he signed up for both Top Gear and a 10 Episode deal with Channel 4 to present the reboot of “TFI Fridays”. Working on one show is hard let alone 2 shows.
Evans also seems to have decided to make Top Gear a One Man Show since just last month he had suggested to his bosses that the traditional three way hosting line-up should be dropped. It has been several months since Chris Evans was announced as the Top Gear’s next presenter and there still hasn’t been any announcement on who will be co-presenting the show. Several of Chris’s close friends such as Suzi, Natalie etc. expressed interest in co-presenting alongside Evans but he has found excuses and reasons to make it impossible for any of them to get the job.
The primadonna has come up with various justifications on why it’s a good idea for him to be the only presenter in his show.
Here are some of his quotes
“If there’s three of you and you go and make a film together, suddenly you’re doing what they did. Why would you do that? They were brilliant at it… [but] I’m not going to do that”
“They’re the Three Stooges, they are the Bee Gees, they are that and I’m not, I’m me. I’m a solo artist at the moment, I’m on my own, so do I form a band or not”
