GearHeads.org Donating $1 to Men Against Breast Cancer for each Facebook “Like” in June
Gear Heads (www.gearheads.org), a source of edgy and provocative daily coverage of the latest car news, reviews, rumors and more, is donating $1 to Men Against Breast Cancer for every Facebook “like” that it receives in June, up to $500.00.
“While we welcome absolutely everyone to our website regardless of their age, gender, or whether they’re casual car folks or pathological gear heads like us, we obviously acknowledge that most of our visitors are male,” commented the website’s founders Chris Riley and Uriah Nazario. “And that’s why we’ve chosen to support Men Against Breast Cancer. Millions of men are directly impacted when breast cancer afflicts their family member, friend or colleague. Through our fundraising campaign, we’re aiming to raise awareness, raise funds, and help men know that there’s something they can do to help in the fight against breast cancer – for the women in their lives, and for women around the world.”
Men Against Breast Cancer is the country’s first and only non-profit organization whose mission is to educate and empower men to become effective caregivers when breast cancer strikes a woman in their life. The organization sees itself as “the men in pink and blue who are partners in survival with the women we love.”
People who want to join in the fight against breast cancer by helping men become more informed and effective caregivers can visit Gear Heads’ Facebook page right now at http://www.facebook.com/GearHeadNews and click the “like” icon. The donation will be presented to Men Against Breast Cancer in July.
