Fort Worth Officer Caught Pepper Spraying Bikers!
It’s amazing the level of detail that these new action cams can capture – and thank god they did. Here’s a video that reveals the shocking moment a Fort Worth Police Officer discharging his pepper spray into the path of a column of oncoming motorcyclists. While it hasn’t been confirmed as pepper spray yet, the investigation is still on going, what else is it likely to be? And surely discharging anything into the traffic, pepper spray or not, is just dumb.
Fortunately, the scene was captured on the helmet camera of local rider Jack Kinney, and edited and slowed down by Chase Stone. The police officer had recently pulled over the group’s safety vehicle when the incident happened. As soon the video hit social media, it went viral, clocking over 200,000 views in less than 15 hours.
“It’s the last thing I would expect to see,” said rider Jack Kinney.
“His intent was to hit the bikers for sure, there’s no doubt about it,” Stone says.
While the “whether it was or wasn’t pepper spray” debate continues, the officer in question has been removed from patrol duty. According to Fort Worth police, the officer is a six year veteran. For the sake of balancing the opinion, the officer did pull over the safety car because it had two passengers riding in the bed of the truck, and the driver was found to be driving without a valid license. There were also reports that the police department had received numerous calls and complaints about the riding group’s apparent dangerous driving…But that doesn’t justify the rest of the story now, does it? I mean, pepper spraying a column of 200 bikers for a few misdemeanors isn’t something you should do lightly…
