2014 Fiat 500X

The 2014 Fiat 500X is a compact crossover SUV. It’s the fifth model from the 500 range. The five seat crossover is quite similar to the 500L model, in exterior and interior as well, but what makes it different are the SUV components and elevated suspension. It will replace the Fiat Sedici model. The new 500X model will be built at the Melfi plant in Italy, and more than one million Euros will be invested into the plant, as it needs to be up to date in order to start the production of the 500X.  Not much is known at this moment about it, but more information is coming out soon.

1 million electric cars 2015 is not a realistic goal

The president Barack Obama stated the goal of 1 million electric cars 2015 in the USA. The German chancellor Angela Merkel had a similar strategy by proclaiming that there will be a million electric cars in Germany by 2020. However, these strategies turned out to be unrealistic. People are simply not buying enough electric cars. Still, Toyota sticks to the timetable of selling an electric car in 2015. Toyota plans to make the electric car available for commercial and retail sale. The car is intended to be sold in California. Honda has already sold a few hundred FCX Clarity electric cars in California since 2008. On the other hand, Volkswagen, Chrysler, GM, and Ford have not said whether they will have electric cars on the market. The projects of Merkel and Obama had to be adjusted to reality because the real numbers are not in favor of their goals. The 2015 electric cars projected number is now 250 000. This makes only 0.1 percent of all cars on American roads.

The electric cars 2015 goal is a good idea, but the electric cars by now turned out to be inconvenient. If you buy an electric car, you will have to face the awful reality of stopping and recharging while on the road. You may have to wait for hours to recharge your electric car. I just hope that by 2015 electric cars will be more convenient and purchased by a large number of people. Audi plans to place an A3 e-tron electric car on the market in 2015. Audi tested an all-electric version, but they decided to launch a plug in hybrid instead. Kia has the Kia Soul EV and Kia Borrego FCEV planned for 2015. Nissan also plans an electric car for 2015, but it still has no name.
