Expect 2014 Corvette To Have Power

This Is The 2014 Corvette

(Read this with a redneck voice) I have heard rumors that the Corvette is not gonna have a V8 but a V6 that is turbo charger because of Obama. Or I heard that they are gonna put a split window in it. Or you know that Transformers movie had that silver car that was secretly the C7 Corvette. I heard that the new Corvette will be built in China. Okay, enough already rednecks. They C7 Corvette looks to not be a massive change in styling as one might think. The Corvette is and will continue to be the best buy for two-seater performance and what I am getting sweaty palms over is the horsepower number that we will see. The Corvette C6 has been caught up to by the Camaro which is supposed to be the middle management car and should not come close to the business owner’s sweet ride. So we will see a boost of horses for the starter C7.

2014 Corvette Wants To Eat You

We have seen Chevy testing the C7 with a C6 body on the frame so that should tell you that some components are going to get shared between generations. We will probably see more sharing of the refined magnetic suspension as well as a launch control being shared. What I am interested to see though is the horsepower numbers that will come with the 2014 Corvette Z06 and the 2015 ZR1. What is amazing is that 430 Horsepower needs to be taken higher. This really means that we have a good old fashion horsepower pissing contest between manufactures and I f-ing love it. My guess is that the C7 Corvette will utilize direct injection only on the basis that everyone is going that way and that it will help with both power production and emissions. For the Turbo I am still wondering and the reason I am is because GM is utilizing the efficiency of a Turbo system and the beauty of the torque that it creates makes me think that they will work on placing a Turbo on a six cylinder for the 2014 Chevy Silverado so I am wondering if the engineers are playing with it for the 2014 Corvette. I doubt it because I think this 2014 Chevy Corvette is going to share a lot of the walls of the C6 so I doubt they are looking to work out an effective turbo pluming although we have seen aftermarket companies certainly do it.

2014 Corvette – Power To The People

What I hope for the Corvette is that it stays true to the Corvette name and gives power to the people. V8 in a light car with a reasonable price tag has been the makings of this great car and I hope to see a good looking face staring at me as the car is unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. So what are your thoughts on the 2014 Corvette and what do you expect from it and what do you wish for.
