2013 Mustang Shelby GT350
When the newly founded Shelby American in 1965 decided to launch the Shelby Mustang as a high performance variant of the Ford Mustang, few eyes could leave them unnoticed. The production was stopped, however, in 1970 as they went forward with other models. It was only in 2007 when the “Shelby” got revamped into a modern ultra-high powered fifth generation Muscle car which was there to stay.
Since then, the Shelby Mustang series has never looked back. The Shelby GT350 series also saw a major reboot with its 2011 model. After being brought into the market after a gap of almost four decades, the Shelby Mustang has only improved on itself.
The 2013 Shelby Mustang GT350 is not different by any means. It is a near-perfectly designed hardcore muscle car made for plenty of acceleration. The “base” model already features a 430 horsepower engine that is normally-aspirated. If, however, you have an uncontrollable greed for raw power, you can always get the forced-induction models featuring 525 horsepower or even a 624 horsepower engine- that is sure to rock you completely out of your seats.
The GT350 already packs a 5.0 litre V-8 monster under its frame. Capable of racing away to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, it completes the Quarter Mile in just 11.5 seconds, making it faster than all its predecessors.
Just like the earlier versions, there are plenty of customization and personalization options available. These options range from the Aluminium accessory kit for the engine to bigger breaks and improved cooling among others.
There is a special focus on the colours for this upcoming model. While the 2011 version only had one available color –white with blue stripes, the 2012 model saw a red, blue and a two coloured black-gold version. The new 2013 version is however the game changer in this regard. It offers an array of nine- yes you read it correct- NINE different colors to choose from. With a color pallet so wide, there is almost no chance for your favourite color to have been missed out. The wide array of colors include the “Gotta Have It Green” to the “Grabber Blue”, “Satin Black”, “Performance White”, to even the ”Ingot Silver Metallic” with the Azure Blue Metallic stripes.
To sum up, the 2013 Shelby Mustang GT350 is a masterpiece that adds on to the already well known production line. A generation of muscle cars that has a history so rich that it is often heard as a legend!
