I say 2013 Acura NSX but it will probably be a 2014 Acura NSX

Yes fans of the car that helped advance sport cars and our lust for Japanese ~~women~~ cars, the glorious Acura NSX is making another run on not being the fastest in a straight line but ready to drive circles around you on the track. The Acura NSX 2013 is going to be a technological beast of electro-Japan-wizardry. The 2013 Acura NSX will still be mid-engine with a side mounted six-cylinder that will place all power to a rear SH (Super Handling) limited-slip differential with the help of some electricity up front. Honda has used this technology on the 2001 Prelude SH and then on Acura’s RL and ugly little SUV thing. The SH differential was in a Prelude that I tested and you could certainly feel the outer wheel pushing more torque through it then the inner wheel during cornering. It was a sense of super sticky traction that gave the car an unnatural feel of stability that beckoned you to go faster . The same will go with the Acura NSX 2013 as it sends its power back from the six-cylinder that is estimated at 360HP to 400 HP. The engine then will be mated to a dual-clutch automatic with flappy paddles so the shifts should be crisp and instant.

I am expecting around a $100,000 – $120,000 dollar price tag as it will be in 2013 Nissan GT-R territory all though it will need some ridiculous skills if it is going to be competitive. How it will keep up in the corners won’t come from the normally aspirated engine but will come from the light weight overall and the front mounted electric motors that will also mimic the SH-Differential and send more power to the outside wheel. The looks of the 2013 - 2014 Acura NSX I don’t think will be as timeless all though I hope so. The competition is fierce and buyers want the best and to enter in a territory already dominated by Godzilla GT-R is pretty ballsy in my opinion but thank god they finally brought back the car that I grew up adoring.

2013 Acura NSX Final Thoughts

I am interested in seeing what this car can do and if it will solidify the stake in front electric rear-gas drive systems that more and more concepts are being introduced as having. I like the lines of this car as I feel that it is sleek and beautiful but I do not care for the front grill nor do I care for any of the grills of the 2013 Acura lineup and also the wheels on the car that was unveiled are pretty ugly too. I would expect to see the wheels on a Civic but come on you are the Acura NSX, you need to have a nice fat 5 or 7 spoke that is super wide in the ass end.

I actually just put a $1000 deposit down for the car at my local acura dealership. The salesman said $32-38, i hope this is true because i already put my depsoit down.

When I look at this car, I feel like looking at the car from future. It is totally awesome! I love the color and how it makes me feel. Cool! Is it going to be 2013 or 2014? It’s worth the wait but try to decrease the wait or the people will just forget about it.

Compare this car to the new Camaro as far as power. This is what you pay for, as well as style. The price tag will be in the same range, especially with this economy. It may go up in value if sales suggest a huge demand, but I doubt it. Many people are going practical, and this car will have many problems it’s first year. Hybrid cars are known to have way too many issues, and repair cost and times are almost triple. However, It will never hit the 100k mark or come close.

Wow, it’s a V6 hybrid! It sounds like a 380 hp to me and I wonder how light this car is going to be. Can we really call it a supercar. In my opinion if NSX really wanted to be competitive, they should be priced not more than $120000 since G-TR is priced around $90000 and R8 is around $118000.

I hope Honda don’t mess it up with this car or their reputation is going to drop as it is already started now. Honda definitely had had “it” when they created the NSX. It was called the “Everyday supercar”. I really hope to see that again.

I am agreed with Tony’s about Honda had had it but they are already losing it ages ago since they “forgot” to improve along with their competition. That’s such a shame but I really want them to do well with this one. I hope this is going to be a real NSX successor.

I have a 2004 NSX Black w/red, only 6 imported into the States, only 13 every produced in the color comb for the world! 15 years and only 6 in the States! This car is brand new only 49 factory miles, I’m going to sell it soon and ask 90K, and it’s a steal. This new guy will sell for between $300,000 and $400,000K, that’s a sure bet! The sellers and creaters of this car said its 32,875-39,995 (projected) When they unveiled it. Now i understand thats projected and all, but i would take them as a very credible source as oppose to “I think its worth 100 grand” Clearly the sellers/creaters of the NSX know its price, cuz they are the ones selling it. Just my 2 cents once again. Not saying its the exact price, just saying thats what its projected for, rather than an assumption

Judge the car by performance and not by price first of all. Secondly, why would you suggest the retail price of an item? The manufacturer will be the only ones pricing and determining what is the going market value. If idiots want to pretend they know something, just remeber the old phrase-be carefeul what you wish for. I on the other hand will wait until they officially release the price to the public. Make sense? If not, then continue to be a complete tool spouting useless information to the public.

Hey guys, I honestly have to say I can not see the NSX being priced more than $70,000. I really dont think acura would put such a high price tag on this car cause considering our current economy status (crap), no one would buy it as the average person probably does not have more than 70 grand to spend on a car. I love fast and powerful cars just as much as the next guy but there is no way this car is gonna sell by putting it at such an extreme price. It just doesn’t make sense.

Really? Get real folks! First of all, if it’s going to be mass produced on a production line, then it will never be high priced. Does anyone remember the first version of the Viper? It was 30k new, and then sold out quickly. They then realized to up the price, because it was on the hot supply and demand list. They also limited the edition size each year, as they do the Corvette. This is how you create a high market. If this car is going to be made by Honda, then consider it the Crossfire as far as price range and edition size. They are not putting a limit on the quantity, because it will be CHEAP to make!!!!! The NSX brand is no longer owned by North America idiots! Fuck, even the GT40 was only 50k when it hit, and it’s way better quality and performance then this!

Acura led the Japanese luxury race in the early 90′s with the icnioc Legend Sedan & Coupe…what a fall down a slippery slope…they have never recovered. They had the perfect recipe – Legend, Integra & NSX now the line-up is full of oversized rebadged Honda’s (yes, I know the ownership). I don’t hold out hope for the revised RL however I will hold my breath for the upcoming NSX for nostalgic stake – my youth favorite.
