The Worst Custom Car

I feel as though everyone is taking crazy pills

I love custom cars and I love it when somebody takes an ordinary car and makes it into a work of art. In this article we look at beauty that seems to only be held in the eye of the beholder. When custom car shows such as SEMA come along I get excited to see what creations will be shown that accentuate the artistic abilities of custom car designers. On the other hand there are about five putrid custom cars for each good one. Since there are so many distasteful modifications being done it makes me feel as though I am the one lacking the taste. It’s one thing to be young and want to make your Read more…

The 2014 VW Microbus – E-Bulli

You’re gonna have the best mobile hookah lounge ever!

Oh man it’s like déjà vu of the future or something cause I’m freaking out dude. Yes earth children the time has come to fight fascism, oppression, corporate greed in this the resurrection of the vehicle that you spent chasing around “the dead” in. Though you talked about saving the planet your VW microbus wasn’t exactly the cleanest vehicles to run around in. And since the times they are a changing we see that Volkswagen is looking to recapture the free spirits by offering them an electric, diesel and maybe a hybrid version of the 2014 VW microbus. In recent years we have seen Volkswagen showing off their Bulli microbus concept with it getting rave reviews from everybody Read more…

The KIA 2013 Sportage

We look at the little crossover packed with big features

Kia has been one of my favorite companies for 2012 as their offering competitively priced vehicles with strong warranties and some vehicles even being built here in the states putting Americans to work. I also prefer Kia’s designs over Hyundai’s. The company is continually growing and receiving accolades and with the technology they are utilizing is able to offer efficient and affordable vehicles. For Kia’s 2013 crossovers we see that Kia Sportage and Sorrento. The 2013 Kia Sorrento is an all new design for this year and as for this Sportage we will see that redesign coming for the 2014 model year. For the 2013 Sportage see the continuation of the 2.4 L normally aspirated engine with variable valve Read more…

Ford’s Ecoboost Lineup

We look at more power through smaller Ecoboost engines

Ford has come up with a more earth friendly solution to keeping Prius drivers from writing you up with fake tickets in the Whole Foods parking lot. It’s called the Ford Ecoboost engine lineup and it’s supposed to emit fewer pollutants in order to keep mister polar bear from having to eat its babies and sparing you from anymore guilt riddled World Wrestling Federation World Wildlife Fund propaganda commercials. Ford is working to produce an all around efficient lineup of vehicles and by doing so they are shedding weight and producing more efficient engines. And as we take a look at these engines we are seeing that they are efficient, powerful, reliable and less polluting. Read more…

The 2014 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

Jeep looks to add a 7-seater based on the Durango

With the overall popularity of the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee it looks as though the Chrysler group will be adding the 2014 Jeep Grand Wagoneer to the lineup as it hopes to boost sales of their full-size SUV lineup. For me the 2011 Dodge Durango was a well sculpted machine but if sales has not been as popular as the Chrysler group had hoped. Since Jeep is going strong these days Chrysler plans to capitalize on the brand and reintroduce Jeep’s big brother. The Jeep Wagoneer was a staple for the company under the AMC days as it went from 1963 to 1991 with little overall changes. I remember seeing Jeep Wagoneers all over the place as it was pretty much the standard family truckster in every 1980s movie. So what will be different about the 2014 Jeep Wagoneer? Read more…

Too Much Vehicle Safety

Are too many safety devices causing us to become worse drivers?

Today we see many technological advancements in our vehicles such as blind spot awareness, vehicle detection, braking assistance, radar sensing cruise control and many more options. Even our tires have pressure sensing monitors and we have numerous traction and stability controls in order to ruin your burnouts every time because you forgot to turn the damn thing off. Read more…

The 2013 Chrysler 100

A stubby Italian becomes the Chrysler 100

Today Chrysler currently has three models to choose from. You either get a 2013 Chrysler 200, 300, or Town & Country. So as you can imagine there’s not a whole lot of individuals flocking to the Chrysler dealerships as I’m sure the sales staff is down to one employee. Since the introduction of Fiat is now taking part in heavily influencing Chrysler and Dodge design. Since Fiat has small cars down and everyone and their mother is looking for efficiency these days makes it a prime time to introduce the 2013 Chrysler 100. This baby Chrysler will be based off of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta similar to that of the upcoming 2013 Dodge Dart. The difference for the Chrysler model will be that it Read more…

Regenerative Braking For Non-hybrids

How engineers are capturing energy to provide efficiency without batteries

No engineers are not using the souls of orphan children either instead its soul-free capacitors. With the current oil prices as well as unstable dictators and governments who need more tax revenue, we the drivers were left to foot the bill. So if we can look for a vehicle that delivers better efficiency yet still is competitively priced then the likelihood of us purchasing that said vehicle is pretty high. Read more…

The Cadillac Escalade 2014

We look at the upcoming Cadillac Escalade 2014

Cadillac is looking to redefine its ultimate luxury SUV for 2014. The basis of efficiency combined with luxury is the premise of the Cadillac Escalade 2014. We have noticed GM retooling their Arlington Texas plant in order to make way for the upcoming 2014 Escalade, 2014 Tahoe, and 2014 Yukon. These vehicles will share the same chassis as well as powertrain and look to be introduced the same time as the 2014 Chevy Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra. Since these vehicles will be sharing many of Read more…

2013 Mitsubishi Eclipse

The 2013 Mitsubishi Eclipse needs a good neck bite from team Edward if it wants to carry on

Okay it maybe a little old to use twilight jokes but with a name like eclipse come on. Mitsubishi has gone from the company that was nearly competing at the levels of Honda and Toyota in the 90s but then slowly died off due to lack of reliability and ugly designs. The Mitsubishi Eclipse was very popular in the first and second generation as it delivered decent power and an option for all-wheel-drive which was pretty unique at the time especially for a smaller sport coupe. The company started its Read more…
