2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata Sport
Remember when driving was fun, before rush hour traffic, store runs, lack of parking and overpriced gas? It would be great to have fun put back into driving. Rush hour is not going anywhere; the price of gas is always going to be high and our patients for wanting to get home as fast as we can is always going to be short. BUT, the 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata Sport brings fun back into driving and it does it with such style you will be impressed.
Ready, set, GO!
Maybe it is because the word Sport is part of the name, but the 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata sport has just that, a sporty feel to it. The 2.0L 4-cyl engine gets the job done without any issues. Less than 7 seconds and you will be hitting 60 mph. 22 MPG as you burn around the city streets and 28 MPG as you zip down the highway. A smooth shifting manual transmission helps you get around. Airbags, stability control and traction control are all standard features on the Sport as well. A little over 23 thousand dollars and you’re out the door in your very own convertible sports car. Seems silly yes, but like we said, maybe it is because Sport is in the name.
Worth what you’re getting
Edmunds published the J.D Power quality study for the 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata Sport and it ranks very high. Scoring close to perfect in all categories, but this is nothing new for the Miata line, since 2005 it has been among the best around for quality. Emergency braking assist, disk brakes, stability control, traction control and many other safety features adds to the Sport’s impressive list of good things. There is one bad thing; just one the trunk is small. No really review after review has gone out of their way to mention this, now far be it from us to point out that this is a sports car, not the family wagon. If your worried about trunk space from a convertible, then perhaps your looking at the wrong car.
All alone with the big boys
The Miata line has stood the test of time and the 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata Sport will go down as one of the best in class this year. The only computation for the Miata is much higher prices vehicles, making the Miata stand out all by itself. It’s not often that you can get the same thrills from a base model car as you would from a 50,000 dollar one. You could take that extra money you saved and still buy the best model version of the 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata (the special edition) and still have plenty of money left over to support you driving habits for a few years. So take on off the hard (or soft) top, let the wind rip through your hair and go for a much needed drive. The 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata Miata Sport is designed to take just about anything you throw at it.
