2012 Lincoln Mark LT
There is a huge difference between reality on the road and advertised fantasies. In my mind when I read the specifications of the Lincoln Mark 2012 from a famous motor magazine the same thought process aroused in me. It was soon alleviated when I got a chance to know it better. Only one difference, the reality was better than the picture drawn in my mind. Lincoln Mark 2012 is the all-new luxurious eye catching version of pickup truck introduced by Lincoln, which is the division of Ford Motor Company. Like all the previous models, the Lincoln Mark LT 2012 has got its own identity. Resolving all the drawbacks of the previous models, especially the Lincoln Blackwood, the Mark acquired the leading name in the whole Lincoln family. It has the same powerful appearance in the wild strong metallic body. It has a stylish artificial wood trim, chrome instrumentation and a driver cabin. The specialties like leather seats, keyless entry, wood trim, high quality sound system and satellite broadcasting systems are the same as that of the previous versions but are modified.
The interiors are luxurious and attractive as soft heated leather is used to furnish the seats, dashboard and bonnet with silver matte finish. Mark LT is designed for those who love to enjoy the pleasure of long family trips. The company had tried hard to make this wagon more luxurious than any other Lincoln vehicles to get a sophisticated outlook.
The 5.4 liter V8 engine of 300 Horse Power gives a torque of 365 pounds at 3,750 rpm with four speed automatic transmission overdrive. The Lincoln Mark LT is 330 cubic-inches, which is same as that of Ford F-150 pickup truck. The 20-inch chrome wheels facilitate smooth on road and off road driving. The wheelbase is of ordinary size. It can also be equipped with two or four wheels. The towing capacity of this vehicle is outstanding. It is as strong as it is able to carry 8,900 pounds of weight easily. This model offers a calm and cool driving experience to the driver. It is also meant for long drives, so it is also suitable for long family trips.
The safety features comprise many features than the older models. It has an electronic stability control and a tire pressure monitor for safe driving. Advanced air bag techniques with adjustable upper, center lap, shoulder belts make the travelers feel safe inside. Child seat lower anchorage, rear seat head restraint and trunk release makes the journey more comfortable.
I haven’t seen nothing too negative like I did with the Lincoln Blackwood, which was a great disappointment in all aspects. The survey says that the features of the vehicle are impeccable but there are some drawbacks as there are some failures related to the power windshields and the 30A circuits, which occur frequently. However, we can get all these complaints permanently solved. It has the average mileage of 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. It is not too less as compared to other related models but some say that it is a little bit expensive.
